bay82 studio is a small product studio based in Emeryville, California, operating as Bay82 Studio LLC. We build and operate a portfolio of consumer mobile apps and a separate product for creators — Macro — which helps fitness and wellness creators draft TikTok photo carousels and send them to their own TikTok inbox for review.

For the purposes of this policy, bay82 studio is the data controller for personal information collected through bay82.studio and Macro. You can reach us at hello@bay82.studio. Privacy questions go to the same inbox.

We try to collect only what we actually need. The categories below describe what we may collect, depending on how you interact with us.

• Contact information. Your name, email address, and any messages you send us when you reach out — including the information you provide when requesting Macro beta access.
• Macro account information. When you sign in to Macro, we store an account record (email, display name, sign-in timestamps) so we can recognize you across sessions.
• TikTok connection information. When you connect your TikTok account through Macro, TikTok shares a basic profile (open ID, union ID, display name, avatar URL) and issues us an OAuth access token and refresh token scoped to the permissions you approved.
• Content you draft in Macro. The photos you upload, the captions you write, the slide order you choose, and the metadata of each draft. Drafts you send to TikTok are uploaded to your own TikTok drafts inbox via the Content Posting API.
• Technical information. Standard data your device and browser send: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referrer, server logs, and basic privacy-respecting product analytics.
• Portfolio app information. Each consumer app in the bay82 portfolio (for example, JeniFit) has its own functionality and its own privacy disclosures, which describe what that specific app collects in-app.

• Operate and improve Macro — letting you sign in, draft carousels, and send those drafts to your own TikTok inbox.
• Display your TikTok identity (handle and avatar) inside the Macro interface, so you always know which account you're drafting for.
• Operate and improve bay82.studio and the consumer apps in our portfolio.
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, debug issues, and comply with legal obligations.
• Communicate with users — including replies to your messages, beta-access decisions, and notices about important product or policy changes.

We do not use Macro content or TikTok connection information to train generative models, target ads, build profiles for advertisers, or any other purpose unrelated to operating the service for you.

Macro uses TikTok Login Kit to let you connect your ownTikTok account, and TikTok's Content Posting API in inbox-uploadmode to send drafts to that account's TikTok drafts inbox for your review.

We request only the OAuth scopes needed to operate the service — user.info.basic(so we can show you which account you're drafting for) and video.upload (so we can send drafts to your TikTok inbox). We do not request access to your DMs, your comments, your followers, or your analytics.

Macro never auto-publishes. Drafts sent through Macro arrive in your TikTok inbox; you open the TikTok app, choose audio, finalize the caption, and publish manually. The act of publishing is always done by you, inside TikTok.

You can disconnect Macro from your TikTok account at any time, either from inside Macro or from TikTok's own account settings under Settings → Privacy → Manage app permissions. When you disconnect, your OAuth tokens are revoked and deleted from our systems.

TikTok independently processes information about your account, your uploaded drafts, and the connection itself under TikTok's own privacy policy and platform terms. Where TikTok's rules apply, they apply in addition to this policy.

We share information only as needed to run the service. Specifically:

• Subprocessors. A small set of vendors that help us host and operate the service: our cloud hosting provider (Vercel), our application database and storage provider (Supabase), our transactional email provider (Resend), and TikTok (for OAuth and the Content Posting API). Each operates under appropriate contractual terms.
• App stores and platforms. When needed to distribute and operate our consumer apps (for example, Apple App Store and Google Play).
• Legal and safety. When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of bay82, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers. If bay82 is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share Macro content, TikTok connection information, or account information with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the sense those terms are used under California law.

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy — including operating the service, security, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and reasonable business needs.

TikTok OAuth tokensare stored encrypted at rest and refreshed as needed to keep your connection alive. They are deleted from our systems when you disconnect your TikTok account from inside Macro, when you revoke access through TikTok's account settings, when you request deletion of your Macro account, or after a sustained period of account inactivity.

Carousel draftsyou have not sent to TikTok remain in Macro until you delete them or delete your account. Drafts you have sent to TikTok's inbox live in TikTok after that point and are governed by TikTok's own retention rules.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

No system is perfectly secure, and we can't promise absolute security. If you ever believe your information or an account has been compromised, please contact us so we can investigate.

You can contact us at any time at hello@bay82.studio to request access to, correction of, or export or deletion of personal information we hold about you, or to make any other privacy request.

You can revoke Macro's access to your TikTok account at any time — either from inside Macro, or directly from TikTok by visiting Settings → Privacy → Manage app permissions.

California residents may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws — including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion or correction, the right to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information where applicable, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the address above and we'll respond in a reasonable timeframe.

bay82 studio's websites and Macro are not directed to children under 13. Macro requires a valid TikTok account, and TikTok itself requires users to be at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

bay82 operates from the United States. Information we process — including information from users outside the United States — may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate. By using the services, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we'll make a reasonable effort to flag it.
